Christmas of Christmas festival
Advent and Christmas markets
The Christmas and Advent markets in Bressanone, Chiusa and Bolzano are known far beyond the country’s borders. Those who spend their Christmas holidays in South Tyrol will experience the unmistakable magic of Christmas quite traditionally: candlelight, green fir trees, shiny Christmas tree balls, mulled wine by the campfire, handmade nativity scenes and a lot of attention to detail. Christmas in South Tyrol really is a very special experience in this special time of the year. Decide for yourself whether you want to visit one of the well-known “Original South Tyrolean Christmas markets” in Bolzano, Merano, Bressanone, Brunico or Vipiteno or one of the more remote, rural Christmas markets. Here you will often find true treasures and the one or other Christmas market has already become a secret. In Terento, for example, just 20 minutes from our house, the “Tearna Advent” takes place in the wonderfully decorated and brightly lit forest. Particular emphasis is placed here on a contemplative mood, local craftsmanship and an authentic supporting program. Experience a living crib or the petting zoo, which is a highlight for the whole family. This originality can only be experienced at the Christmas markets in South Tyrol.
