Rodenegg Castle - Grace in the mountains
Majestic, imposing and unshakeable - Rodenegg Castle towers over forests and valleys. The imperious fortified castle, built on an elongated rock outcrop, is considered a landmark of the community Rodeneck.
Between Schabs and Mühlbach, Friedrich I von Rodank had the fortress built in 1140. When the noble family died out in 1300, the estate was awarded to the provincial administration. In 1491 it was transferred to the Counts of Wolkenstein-Rodenegg - until today the castle is family-owned.
The sumptuous rooms are home to a museum that displays exhibits, especially furniture, from the late Renaissance. A cultural highlight is the Iwein frescoes, which were discovered in 1972. The murals illustrate the legend of Iwein, which belonged to King Arthur's Round Table.

Reinhold Messner Mountain Museum
No less a person than the famous climber Reinhold Messner once founded the mountain museum in the Italian provinces of South Tyrol and Belluno.
Five locations, each with a different focus, unite the Messner Mountain Museum (MMM). These are known as Firmian (Bolzano), Juval (Naturno), Dolomites (Monte Rite), Ortles (Sulden) and Ripa (Brunico Castle) out.
The center forms the Museum Firmian - here the focus is on the classification of mountains and the history of the ascent. The house Juval addresses the legends and myths of numerous mountains and ascents. The MMM Dolomites leads in "The Vertical World" of the local mountains. Pharmacy Museum Bressanone

South Tyrolean Archaeological Museum
In Bolzano is the South Tyrol Museum of Archeology, whose flagship is the world-famous glacier mummy "Ötzi". The museum is one of the most important institutions of its guild in Italy.
In addition to the most famous find, relevant artifacts from the region are exhibited, including exhibits from the Palaeolithic period. Visitors can expect a smorgasbord of models, spatial images, videos and reconstructions that reflect the younger and older past of the southern Alpine region.
The building was built before the beginning of the First World War. For a long time, it was used by the Italian National Bank before the relics of today's museum found their way there. Since 1998, the doors are open to all history lovers and interested parties.
Kloster Neustift - Tradition and Modernity
Faith, pastoral care, art and education - these elements form the foundation for the dogma of the Augustinian chaplain Neustift. The vital monastery, which lies within immediate reach of Bressanone and the Puster Valley, has the largest facility in Tyrol.
The church was founded in 1142 - since then it has grown with the progress. Today, the monastery offers its guests various further education, art history and a renowned wine cellar. The rococo library and the Gothic cloister are - in addition to the magnificent gardens - one of the absolute attractions of the Augustinian Canon monastery Neustift.
The in-house shop sells wines, schnapps and teas. Furthermore, jams, olive oil, biscuits and local cheeses are offered. In the Stiftskeller wine tastings take place.
